Closing your account

Settings → Close our clinic account. Step 1: download the export (required within the last 7 days). Step 2: type the clinic name and confirm. Only the clinic owner can do this, with two-factor.

Reminders and booking requests stop, the QR sign-up page stops working, and the Stripe subscription is cancelled. Every pet gets ONE final free notice on the Wallet card ("<Clinic> is closing its TailPlan service. Download your pet's care record and choose a new clinic."), or on Telegram when no card can be notified; never WhatsApp/SMS. Cards switch to "not linked to a clinic". On shared cards another clinic becomes home.

30 days after closing, all of the clinic's data is deleted. A record with dates and counts only (no names) is kept. Backups expire with the database provider's retention. Closed by mistake within the 30 days? Write to info@tailplan.vet at once.
