Import by e-mail
Let your practice software e-mail scheduled reports to your secret import address.
Your import address
Settings → Import by e-mail shows your clinic's secret address (import-…@ the TailPlan import domain). Practice software that can e-mail scheduled reports (for example Provet Cloud: Reports → Schedule, CSV or Excel) sends them there. "Make a new address" replaces it at once; the old one stops working.
Allowed senders
Add the e-mail address your software sends from (up to 10). E-mails from any other sender are refused; only the fact that it was refused and the sender (encrypted) are kept. A sender address can be forged in e-mail, so treat the import address as a secret.
What happens to a report
An attachment is imported automatically only when its columns match a column matching you confirmed on the Import page. Everything else waits on the Import page for review ("Open in importer" or "Discard"); it is stored encrypted until then. The same file twice changes nothing. E-mail import never sends messages.
When it is not switched on
If TailPlan's e-mail receiving is not configured yet, Settings shows your future address with a note; nothing is received until then.
