TailPlan

Getting started

Sign up, set up your clinic, accept the terms, and follow the setup guide.

TailPlan puts each pet's care plan on the owner's phone (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet) and reminds owners when vaccines and treatments are due. This article covers your first hour.

Open /signup, enter your e-mail and click the sign-in link we send you (there is no password: every sign-in is a link by e-mail). Tick the box to accept the Terms of service and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA, version 2.0). You cannot continue without it.

Set up your clinic

On /setup you enter the clinic name, the country (Cyprus, Greece or other) and how many vets work there, and you can choose your practice software (optional). You become the clinic's owner account. The first month is free, with no payment card needed and no limit on cards.

The one-button setup

Right after setup you land on the Setup guide (/app/start). It opens with the setup assistant, which prepares what is missing in one go: your sign-up page address (for the QR poster), the catalog procedures for your clinic, a breed shortlist, and draft plans for pets that have none. It only adds: it never sends a message to anyone and never confirms a plan. Running it twice changes nothing.

The setup guide

The Setup guide (/app/start, in the menu while it is open) takes you through 9 steps in three milestones, one step at a time: 1. See who is overdue: create your card, upload your client list, see your overdue patients. 2. Reach the owners: the vet confirms the default plan, print the desk QR poster, send cards (overdue owners first). 3. Stay safe and measure: turn on two-factor sign-in, add emergency contacts, check your results.

Each step says why it matters, what you will do and about how long it takes; Start this step opens the right page. Steps tick themselves as you do them, so you can stop and come back. A step that depends on an earlier one opens when that one is done (for example, sending cards needs the card, the client list and a confirmed plan). The poster, two-factor sign-in and emergency contacts can be skipped for now. While the guide is open, a slim bar above every page shows your progress and the next step. The owner can hide the guide and bring it back; progress is never reset. See The first week.

Two-factor sign-in

Clinic owners must turn on two-factor sign-in. After the first 7 days from the clinic's creation, Billing, Team, Import, Settings and SMS sending stay locked until it is on. See Security and team.

Help

Every consequential button in the cabinet has a short explanation under it: what happens, what does not happen, and how to undo it. This help center is public at /help; the support chat in the cabinet answers from these articles. For anything else write to info@tailplan.vet.
