Plans, the vet screen and the catalog
How plans are made, how the vet confirms them, and how to set your own procedures.
Draft plans
Every new pet gets a draft plan made from the catalog: vaccine series, intervals, overdue items from the history, senior changes, seasonal treatments, breed and lifestyle extras, regional items. Drafts never send reminders.
The vet screen
Vet plan lists drafts waiting for a vet. The vet can change a due date and reason, remove an item, add one from the catalog or from your own procedures, then Confirm (or "Confirm default plan for all"). Reminders start only after confirmation. Items the owner reported at QR sign-up are marked, as are due dates that came from your practice software. QR sign-ups that reception has not accepted yet are not in the queue.
Catalog and your prices
The catalog (WSAVA 2024 defaults and regional items) can be adjusted per clinic: interval, product name, price, on or off. Your setting wins over the catalog; a vet's change on one pet wins over both. TailPlan gives no medical advice: the plan is the vet's decision.
Your own procedures
Settings → "Your clinic's own procedures": a name, species, type, interval, optional price and own reminder days. They appear in the vet's "Add" list and in reception's "Done".
Your software already reminds
Settings → "Our software already reminds clients about": tick types (vaccinations, parasite treatments, check-ups, dental, other) and TailPlan stops reminding those, to avoid double reminders. Plans and cards still show them.
