Reminders, channels and message prices

Reminders go to the pet's Wallet card first (free; it appears on the lock screen). Then Telegram for owners who linked it (free). WhatsApp, and SMS only if the number is not on WhatsApp, are paid messages. One paid message per owner per run covers all their pets; Wallet stays per pet.

Reminder steps are set in Settings (by default 14 and 3 days before, on the due day and 7 days after). Monthly products get one reminder on the due day (and an optional nudge 3 days later). Nothing is sent between 21:00 and 08:00 clinic time. Only confirmed plans are reminded.

WhatsApp and SMS need: a payment card on file (also in the free month: there are no free paid messages), paid messages switched on in Settings, a supported country, and your monthly spending cap in euros (default €20) not reached. Settings and Billing show the current state.

You pay the provider's cost plus 10%, monthly in arrears, per WhatsApp message or per SMS segment. Costs (October 2026, Twilio and Meta): SMS Cyprus $0.0864 per segment, Greece $0.0657 per segment; WhatsApp Cyprus about $0.0127 and Greece about $0.0262 per message, converted to euros. Greek, Russian, Ukrainian and Hebrew SMS use 70 characters per segment (67 when split).

An item still overdue 14 days after its last Wallet reminder gets one extra message: Telegram if linked, otherwise WhatsApp if paid messages are allowed; never SMS. Items more than 30 days overdue at import are never messaged automatically: use Send cards.

Owners can tap "Get reminders in Telegram" on the card page (one-time link) and press Start. The bot sends clinic, pet, procedure and date only; owners stop with /stop. Switch Telegram off in Settings if you prefer.

SMS reminders use your templates (English/Greek) or TailPlan's texts in the owner's language. Every SMS carries the owner's opt-out link. An owner replying STOP (in any of the five languages) stops reminders from your clinic only.
